After four years, it is time to admit defeat. Henry Bemis Books has failed. Its owner is broke and about to become homeless. We are grateful for the support of our handful of customers and many others who enjoyed what we posted here. Moving forward, we will not be able to move our inventory with us, so the likelihood of a restart is small. We have had investors who didn't invest as much as promised, and who got cold feet. We had a joint-venturer who died. It has been a lovely dream, but a reality it clearly has not been meant to be.
